Since the days of Alexander the Great, Greeks have settled in Egypt. However, in the aftermath of the 1952 Egyptian revolution, many were forced to leave. We examine the presence of the Greeks in Egypt. The influence of the Greek diaspora is also prominent in South Africa. We speak to one of the most prominent figures of the Greek community there, a human rights lawyer who fought passionately against apartheid.
