Nomi Kaltmann, a prominent voice within Australia’s Jewish community, has spoken out forcefully against what she views as the federal and state governments’ insufficient response to rising antisemitism across the country. She argues that up until the attacks in Bondi, existing laws and policies failed to adequately deter hate speech and targeted harassment, and that the government did not take strong enough leadership to minimise the threat, despite ongoing pleas from the Jewish community.
