Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s visit to Australia has unfolded against a backdrop of grief, diplomacy and political tension. Speaking at the Bondi Pavilion, Mr Herzog commemorated the lives lost at the Hanukkah celebration on December 14.

Herzog's broader visit includes meetings with political leaders and community representatives following an official invitation from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, as well as the Zionist Federation of Australia's President, Jeremy Leibler, with whom we are in conversation today.
