How Afghanistan fell to the Taliban so quickly? Jeremy Jones, director of International affairs at AIJAC.... The situation in Afghanistan is uncertain and evolving since the Taliban took back control for the first time after 20 years immediately after the Americans left. I spoke to Jeremy Jones, Director of International affairs at AIJAC about this development. I asked him how did Afghanistan fall to the Taliban so quickly?


After nearly two decades of war, more than 6,000 American lives lost, over 100,000 Afghans killed and more than $2 trillion spent by the U.S., the speed of the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan has shocked the world. Were all the sacrifices wasted?
