Israel rejects Amnesty's apartheid label for Israel (Hebrew)

Amnesty alleged in a major report released last week that Israel has maintained “a system of oppression and domination” over the Palestinians going all the way back to the establishment of the state in 1948, a system the group said meets the international definition of apartheid.

The UK joins Israel, the US and Germany, in addition to a range of Jewish organizations around the world, in rejecting the report.

Israel said the report “consolidates and recycles lies” from hate groups and was designed to “pour fuel onto the fire of antisemitism”. It accused Amnesty UK of using “double standards and demonization in order to delegitimize Israel”.
