The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry claims that 11,500 people have been killed since the start of the war, including at least 4,700 children and 3,000 women, according to SBS Hebrew correspondent Peta Jones Pellach, who says the figures can not be independently verified. The figures also do not differentiate between those killed by Israeli air strikes or by failed Palestinian rocket attacks.
