The Australian Government has placed the whole Hezbollah organisation on its list of proscribed terrorist organisations, together with the neo-Nazi, racist, antisemitic and violent Base movement and is considering Hamas, as a whole for a similar designation.
NSW Police will investigate the case of a virulent anti-Semitic post on the Australian Union of University Students AUJS’ Facebook page, by an employee of the NSW Education Dept, following a six month delay and investigation of the matter internally, before any action was taken by the Dept.
The Australian Jewish community was highly praised by Israel’s PM Naftali Bennet and President Itzhak Hertzog for its staunch support of Israel and the Australian Govt was commended on their recent adoption of the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism.
