SBS Yiddish Report with Alex Dafner, Ceremonies to commemorate the fallen Jewish ANZACs

Strong condemnations by Australian political party leaders and Jewish community leaders were made following the hurtful and insulting use of Nazi imagery and antisemitic posts on social media, targeting the Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, at the start of the election campaigns.
The controversial Liberal Party candidate for the NSW seat of Warringah, Katherine Deves, has accepted an invitation to visit the Sydney Jewish and Holocaust Museum, following criticism of her use of comparisons of her opposition to transgender individuals participation in women’s sport, with standing up to Nazis during the Holocaust.

Ceremonies to commemorate the fallen Jewish ANZACs and the great WWI Australian Jewish ADF commander Sir John Monash, were held at Monash’s grave at Melbourne’s Brighton Cemetery and the St Kilda and Caulfield Synagogues on ANZAC Day the 25th of April, 2022
