Australian Jewish professors, doctors, health workers, education and community leaders have joined the intensive campaign to urge members of the Australian Jewish community to get vaccinated against Covid-19’s Delta variant, with any vaccine available to them, as fast as possible and to dispel the misinformation about the dangers and fear of vaccination.

The parents of Australian born Malki Roth, who was killed in the terrorist bombing of a pizza parlour in Jerusalem in 2001, have on the 20th anniversary of the tragic event appealed to the Australian Govt to help them extradite the perpetrator from Jordan, where she enjoys a flourishing career as a TV and media journalist.

Jewish Sydney’s rebuild of the Hakoah Club is reaching its final planning and fundraising phase and it is expected to be completed in 2023, as a multiple sports, community, culture and hospitality centre for the Sydney Jewish and general community.

Eva Besen e”h, child immigrant from Poland and later co-founder, with her husband Marc and brother John Gandel of one of the biggest philanthropic family groups in Australia, the Besen-Gandel philanthropies, has died in Melbourne, leaving behind a legacy of great generosity for educational, health, research, art, museum and other causes in Australia and Israel.
