Australian Jewish community leaders and politicians praised the Sydney Festival for rejecting a campaign to disallow a dance tribute to the Israeli Batsheva Dance company by the Sydney Dance Company, on the grounds largely that it is co-sponsored by the Israeli Embassy in Australia.
Year 12 students in Jewish colleges in Victoria have again attained excellent VCE results despite a difficult year because of the Covid pandemic and the Bialik College was the second highest achieving school overall, among the more than 500 schools sitting the exams in that state.
