SBS Yiddish report with Alex Dafner "Two giant swastikas were burnt into a soccer football pitch at Mount Evelyn, in outer-east Melbourne"

On the eve of Passover and in the midst of a federal election campaign, the leaders of the Government Liberal Party, PM Scott Morrison and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, spoke at the Ark Centre synagogue about the significance of the Passover festival, of hard won freedoms and advantages of living in a country like Australia, whilst the opposition Labor leader Anthony Albanese, wished the Australian Jewish community a Happy Passover, stressing the difficulties and pain caused by Covid and the war in Ukraine.

Two giant swastikas were burnt into a soccer football pitch at Mount Evelyn, in outer-east Melbourne and were subsequently spotted by a Jewish helicopter passenger and grandson of Holocaust survivors, who reported it and which led to a police investigation and condemnation by politicians and the Anti-Defamation Commission.

An online magazine, “Gumshoe News”, has been accused by a Jewish Monash Uni academic of frequently featuring extreme conspiracy theories, including antisemitic, Holocaust belittling, anti-vaccination and demeaning to politicians and their parties articles.
