SBS Yiddish report with Alex Dafner: Two Jewish men were seriously assaulted and injured in a vicious antisemitic attack in Elsternwick Melbourne


Candidates of the main Australian political parties and some independents standing in the federal election on the 21st May, in seats with a large Jewish population, debated and published adverts re their position on Israel, funding for security and Jewish schools, antisemitism and other issues relevant to the Jewish community in Australia.

Two men were arrested after being caught on security cameras whilst plastering swastikas on the windows of the Beth Weizman Community Centre in Caulfield, Melbourne, while the Israeli Ambassador Amir Maimon was inside, visiting the offices of the Zionism Victoria organisation.

Two Jewish men were seriously assaulted and injured in a vicious antisemitic attack on one of the main streets of Elsternwick in S-E Melbourne, with one of the attackers arrested at the scene and another being still sought by the police
