Virulent antisemitic acts continued in Melbourne and East St Kilda during the violent anti-lockdown demonstrations in Victoria, including the pasting of stickers featuring a Star of David with the date 9/11 in the middle and a QR code underneath, which if scanned leads to a website that accuses Jews of having carried out the 11th September, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre in New York.

The Australia Israel and Jewish Affairs Council and the Zionist Federation of Australia have welcomed the decision by the Australian Communications and Media Authority to investigate the ABC TV’s Q&A program of May 27th 2021, over bias and breach of its policies, in presenting the issue of the Israel Hamas conflict on that program.

 

The Executive Council of Australian Jewry, Australia Israel and Jewish Affairs Council and the Zionist Federation of Australia, have presented submissions to the Australian Govt arguing that Australia should declare the whole of Hamas as a terror organisation and not limit the proscription to just its military wing.

The former financial manager of Sydney’s Moriah College, Augustine Gus Nosti, has started his maximum 9 year jail sentence for having defrauded the Jewish school of $7.4 million over a period of 15 years and damaging the school, its community and reputation of many associated with it.
