While riding his bicycle on Chapel street in Melbourne, Ronen Martin Cohen has been pushed out of his bike and kicked in his chest and back, just because he carried an Israeli flag.

The incident is just one of a number to occur in Melbourne and follows an clash between pro-Palestinian supporters and Jewish Australians in Caulfield, Melbourne last week.

Victoria police said in response that "there is no place in our community for hate-based or discriminatory behaviour and Victoria Police will not tolerate anti-Semitic or Islamophobic incidents".

Ronen Martin Cohen shares his story.
