Our guest is the filmmaker Michal Weits about her documentary the Blue Box.Her great grandfather, Joseph Weits, was a key figure in the JNF, Keren Hakayemet. Michal went through 5,000 pages of a journal written by her great grandfather and other extensive archival search, spoke to relatives and the result is a painful and enlightening exploration of Israel’s past and mainly the JNF. The JNF, the Blue Box campaign was internationally successful in raising support for the purchase and forestation of the land since the early 20^th century in Israel
