The Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Australian Jewish community leaders warmly congratulated the new Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, on his appointment to the position, following the departure of previous PM Naftali Bennett, a move which however, will lead to the 5th Israeli election in the last 3 years on the 1st November 2022.
Australian Jewish organisations in Sydney participated in various NAIDOC week celebrations of the Indigenous and First Nations Peoples’ histories and cultures and highlighted their and others’ commitment to funding and working with various Aboriginal communities and organisations.
