IsraAID is an Israeli-based non-governmental organisation specialising in rapid emergency response and long-term community capacity building worldwide. In a conversation with SBS Hebrew, Yossi Eshel, IsraAID Australia Executive Director, explains that his organisation’s mission is to provide urgent aid wherever a humanitarian crisis hits, staying "as long as needed" to transition from immediate relief to sustainable recovery (e.g., in Kenya, Vanuatu, and Latin America). Mr Eshel further emphasised on IsraAID’s non-political approach, working with locally recruited staff who are often neither Israeli nor Jewish, while leveraging Israeli expertise in areas like mental health and "Aid Tech" technology-driven humanitarian assistance.
