Amul has done it once again!
India’s leading dairy company, Amul, known for its iconic topical content has paid a touching tribute to Australia battling bushfires, in their latest ad campaign.
On Wednesday, the dairy’s official Twitter handle posted a new creative titled ‘Ausla rakho’. The word 'Ausla' [Australia] rhymes with the Hindi word 'Honsla', meaning faith, and the title means ‘keep faith’.
The creative features the iconic Amul girl trying to rescue a koala caught in the bushfires.
More than 1 billion animals are believed to have died during the horrific bushfire season.
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has warned some species may have tipped over the brink of extinction during this season’s unprecedented mega-fires.
"This heart-breaking loss includes thousands of precious koalas on the mid-north coast of NSW, along with other iconic species such as kangaroos, wallabies, gliders, potoroos, cockatoos and honeyeaters," WWF-Australia CEO Dermot O'Gorman said in a statement.
The advertisement to show support to Australians has been applauded by many members of the Indian community living in Australia.
Amul’s ad agency – daCunha Communications produces up to six of these creatives every week reflecting topics making headlines in India and across the world.
