Victoria Police finally seems to have made a breakthrough in the Baby Sanaya Murder case.

The Police has now charged a woman with murder of 14 months old toddler Baby Sanaya, who first went missing on Saturday and was later found dead at Darebin Creek on early Sunday morning.

Victoria Police on their website wrote: A 22-year-old woman has been charged with one count of murder and will face an out of session’s court hearing at the 313 Spencer Street Police Complex shortly. Investigators are no longer looking for anyone else in relation to this investigation.

Police also confirmed the development in a tweet.

Sanaya's 22-year-old mother Sofina Nikat told police her daughter was snatched from her pram by a stranger while they were walking in Olympic Park about 10am on Saturday.
