Five occupations removed from the Queensland Skilled Occupations List

Some of the most-in-demand occupations have been removed from the Skilled Occupations List.

The sunshine state has announced it has removed some occupations from their state Skilled Occupations List.

On November 22nd, Queensland’s official migration website - Business and Skilled Migration Queensland (BSMQ) has announced due to a high number of EOIs, BSMQ will not be issuing any more invitations for EOIs for occupations like the nurse, finance manager and software engineer.
For 2018-19, BSMQ has filled the quote for the below occupations:

  • Finance Manager – 132211
  • Registered Nurse (Aged Care) – 254412
  • Registered Nurse (Critical Care and Emergency) – 254415
  • Developer Programmer – 261312
  • Software Engineer – 261313
The officials have advised if the applicants have not received an invitation by November 22nd 2018, BSMQ is no longer able to issue any new invitations.

“BSMQ may open these occupations later if the current invitees do not respond in the required time frame,” it added.
