Janice is an international student from China at University of Sydney.

Janice attended a church on Broadway, Sydney at 4pm on Sunday (8 May 2016) and hasn’t been seen since then.

Police said they held concerns for Ms Zhejaun’s welfare as her failure to attend the study group at University was out of character.

Janice lives in Ultimo and the church was located close to her home.

Police suggest mobile phone signal data could hold the key to the missing international student.

Acting Inspector David Parker said Ms Zhejuan's mobile phone was last used in the Coogee area on Tuesday, two days after she was seen at church, however police had been unable to track her down.

"We're making further inquiries today, and the investigation is ongoing," he said.

"She has not been reported missing before. According to her study group, she's normally very attentive to her studies and missing that appointment was out of character."

Acting Inspector Parker appealed for anyone who had seen Ms Zhejuan since Sunday, or who knew where she was, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
