An Indian food truck which was stolen 10 days ago has been found abandoned in Melbourne’s west.
Owners of Desi Chatka Indian Street Food, who reported their about-to-be-launched food truck had been stolen, have recovered the vehicle.
A plain-white large food truck equipped with kitchen white goods was reported stolen from Hoppers Crossing in Melbourne’s west on November 13th.
“The van was fitted with kitchen goods and the branding was still to be done when it was stolen,” Shailesh Patel, owner of Desi Chatka Indian Street Food told SBS Hindi.

The restaurant has three branches across Melbourne and was about to launch their fourth in Epping, Melbourne’s North when their truck was stolen.
The owners claim they had equipped the truck with two gas stoves, refrigerator, two microwaves, sound system and cameras.
The truck is estimated to cost around $60,000.
While a police complaint was made, the owners had urged the Indian community to help share their message to find it.
