Australia approves new drug to slow Alzheimer’s progression

Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form of dementia, affects nearly 600,000 Australians. But there is renewed hope, with Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration approving a new medication that could offer relief to those living with the condition. Researchers say the drug represents a major breakthrough in the ongoing quest for more effective treatments.
