Australia hosts 'Exercise Malabar' for the first time, invests in Navy to-Navy relationship with India

For the first time in history, Australia is hosting Exercise Malabar, an Indo-pacific maritime exercise between India, Australia, United States and Japan. According to Dr Dalbir Ahlawat, a senior lecturer in the Department of Security Studies and Criminology at Macquarie University, these warfare exercises are crucial to fortify the bilateral defence and strategic ties between India and Australia.
