Deputy Lord Mayor from the Parramatta Council, Sameer Pandey, is a Labor candidate for the NSW state seat of Winston Hills. He is one of the first people of South-Asian descent to hold the position of Deputy Mayor in a major Australian city. During this interview with SBS Hindi, Mr. Pandey explains how he hopes to improve the quality of education and local infrastructure in Winston Hills and wants to promote language schools for the multicultural community.
