The Australian government has once again raised visa application fees for international students, while maintaining lower charges for eligible Pacific Island and Timor-Leste applicants. The fee for the post-higher education visa, also known as the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa, which allows international graduates to live and work in Australia for up to two years, has increased from $4,600 to $5,750. In 2024, the government announced that student visa fees would rise from $710 to $1,600. Since then, the fee has been increased further, from $1,600 to $2,000, and now to $2,500.
