Need for education and awareness campaigns on Swastika to avoid misunderstanding

This year, Victoria and New South Wales have introduced legislation to ban the public display of the Nazi 'hooked cross' symbol. The bill does not prohibit faith communities from displaying the Swastika for religious and cultural reasons, but there are ongoing concerns that it could be misunderstood or misused. SBS Hindi speaks to health professional Dr Yadu Singh and lawyer Pallavi Sinha about distinguishing between the sacred symbol of Swastika and Nazi Hakenkreuz.
