COVID-19 cases are on the rise once again, driven by the emergence of a new variant known as NB.1.8.1. This latest strain is fuelling a fresh wave of infections around the world, including in Australia. In this podcast, we speak with Dr Dipti Talaulikar, a Canberra-based physician-scientist and senior haematology specialist. She discusses key symptoms to look out for, the precautions we should be taking, and whether testing methods have evolved in the post-pandemic phase.
