The federal government has announced new measures to reduce migration and tighten Australia's visa system, affecting international students, visitors, temporary migrants and their families. Labor Senator for Western Australia Varun Ghosh says the changes are designed to cut less beneficial pathways and crack down on visa overstayers, rather than genuine students.
