Last April the World Health Organisation announced a disease outbreak of what seems to be a form of hepatitis of unknown causes Since then there has been an increasing number of cases that in particular make young children very sick. A Is there a link between this virus and COVID-19?

Last April the World Health Organisation announced a disease outbreak of what seems to be a form of hepatitis of unknown causes Since then there has been an increasing number of cases that in particular make young children very sick. A Is there a link between this virus and COVID-19?


Prof Dr Maria Lucia Inge Lusida, (phone) is chairperson of the Institute of Tropical Disease at Airlangga University.  She explains to Sri Dean what is currently known about the illness and what steps need to be taken to prevent it from spreading further.
