Can Food Security be Maintained in Indonesia and Australia in the Face of the Pandemic?

Some people fear that COVID-19 is a threat to food security. There are diverse reasons for these fears but the causes appear to be different in Indonesia and Australia.


One key issue for Indonesia is food supply.  Australia as an exporter of food does not have that problem but at a time of high unemployment access is a food security issue.  Prof Posman Sibuea, Deputy Vice Chancellor at Santo Thomas Catholic University North Sumatera and Dr Jeffrey Neilson, Associate Professor in Geography at Sydney University discuss the way ahead.
