Known as an illness that frequently appears during the winter, influenza can actually strike us all year round. What do we need to know about it?

In a conversation with Dr Helmut Gosal, he explained the differences between the common cold and influenza, as well as why we must be vigilant against this virus.

He also discussed why annual influenza vaccination is recommended for those eligible, and outlined other measures we can take to protect the community from the spread of the disease.
