The Prime Minister has described Australia's recycling system as a 'rip-off' as he promises to overhaul it - as part of larger pledge to tackle the country's growing waste problem


Prime Minister Scott Morrison is pledging to fix the so-called 'plastic problem' for the next generation.

He's pushing every Commonwealth agency to put greater value on buying recycled content -- to help boost the economy and create jobs.

Mr Morrison is promising to overhaul Australia's recycling system.
