The worst pandemic in more than 100 years means that news and current affairs of this disease will bring fear and confusion that endanger mental health.

Mental health experts say people should limit media exposure during the corona virus pandemic because too much information can cause confusion and fear and quickly overwhelm people with negative emotions.

Starting Tuesday 17 March afternoon, only people who have recently traveled from abroad or have been in contact with a positive case of COVID-19 and have symptoms within 14 days are advised to be tested.

If you believe that you might have contracted the virus, contact your doctor, do not visit, or call the Corona Virus Health Information National Hotline at 1800 020 080.

If you have difficulty breathing or experience a medical emergency, call 000.
