ICC NSW's chairwoman, Lini Khun, explained about the Harmony Day celebrations to be held by her organisation and stressed the importance of 'understanding each other' in the practice of daily living in Australian society.

The Indonesian Community Council (ICC) of New South Wales will hold an event to commemorate Harmony Day on April 5.

Open to the public, the event celebrates the diversity of Australian society and promises a range of enticing cultural performances.

SBS Indonesian spoke with acting ICC president Lini Khun about the event.
Living in a diverse family herself, Mrs Khun also gave a different perspective on how diversity is reflected in everyday Australian lives, not just during Harmony Day celebrations.
