Held for its 23rd year, the Indonesian Night Market is a flagship program of the Indonesian Students Association (PPIA) at UNSW. Not only did it offer a wide selection of Indonesian food and beverages, but it also brought art performances, cultural activities and a uniquely Indonesian atmosphere to Sydney, Australia.
Estimated five thousands visitors filled UNSW's Main Walkway last Friday night. While queues of shoppers snaked in front of the food stalls, many others sat around the area enjoying the food and entertainment performed on the main stage.

SBS Indonesian spoke with several attendees at the event, including Ambassador Siswo, to delve deeper into what an event like this means for the Indonesian diaspora and the broader relationship between Indonesia and Australia.
