The Albanian government promised at the time of the election that it would repeal the controversial cashless debit card. But some advocates worry it could have a negative impact on society.
The Federal Government has introduced a law to abolish Cashless Debit Cards.
The card was introduced in 2016 by the Turnbull government, and puts 80 percent of participants' income into the card. The card is intended to stop users from buying alcohol, drugs, gambling with it, or withdrawing cash.
Another form of revenue management is the Basicscard, which was introduced in 2007 under the Northern Territory Intervention during the Howard administration.
