Muslims around the world are preparing to celebrate a meaningful day after the month of Ramadan. To learn about the special significance of Eid al-Fitr this year, SBS Indonesian interviewed Dr Amin Hadi, Imam of the Zetland Mosque in Sydney and serves as the member of the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC)'s Fatwa Council.
Dr Amin Hady, who is also often refer to as Ustadz by the Indonesian community, shared his views on how we can use the momentum of Eid al-Fitr to improve morality and togetherness within our communities.
"Let us, as Indonesians, Muslims, and as part of the global community, uphold the good values we have always held dear," he said. He also highlighted the importance of tolerance and caring for others.

In the context of Indonesians living abroad, such as in Australia, Dr Amin Hady urged people to unite and support each other regardless of their background. He stated that the important moment of Eid al-Fitr is an opportune time to reaffirm the values of togetherness which are at the heart of religious teachings.
