Although only a one-off performance, Riau Rhythm will once again entertain the audience at the 2025 OzAsia Adelaide - Sunset Sounds at Lucky Dumpling Market on October 25th.

What characterizes the music played by Riau Rhythm? It's often described as a harmonious blend of traditional Indonesian calempong and percussion, along with violin, cello, flute, and accordion—blending Indonesian and Western musical influences to create a unique version of Fusion Jazz.

True to its name, Riau Rhythm's music is rooted in classical Malay music combined with contemporary music. As explained by its leader and founder, Rino Deza Pati, to SBS Indonesian, "So what can we expect from Riau Rhythm's upcoming performance at OzAsia in Adelaide? And how has Riau Rhythm, as a band, managed to survive for nearly 25 years?" Rino Deza Pati discusses all of this in his interview, along with other related topics.
