Singing in full voice: Gita Suara Sydney Vocal Group want to lift our spirits

Singing can affect us in many positive ways, emotionally, spiritually and physically. And some research findings indicate singing in a choir does even more to improve happiness and health. But how has the COVID-19 lockdown impacted on the group?


Lucy Surtandi is vice president of the Indonesian Community Council of NSW and organiser Gita Suara Sydney Vocal Group.  She explains to Sri Dean the history, aims and membership of Gita Suara Sydney Vocal Group and how singing in a choir affects her.
