It's been six months since Australia introduced a ban on social media for children under 16, a world-first policy that has now caught the attention of dozens of countries, including France, Denmark, and the United Kingdom.
The ban, which came into effect last December, covers platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube, with companies facing fines of up to $49.5 million if they fail to prevent underage access.
While experts are beginning to see positive effects, some teenagers are questioning the approach.
