A study by law firm King and Wood Mallesons involving more than a hundred senior executives has found almost 80 per cent cited attracting and retaining skilled labour as a priority.
More than half of the survey's followers said broader labor market issues were causing problems within their companies to manage cyber risk.
The survey results reveal that attracting and retaining a skilled workforce has become a major problem for most business leaders.
The federal government has indicated that a more permanent pathway is needed for skilled workers as well as improvements to eliminate the backlog of requests from migrants.
