For the two narrators of Tembang Nusantara, which will be held at RMIT's Storey Hall on August 16, 2025, the event is intended to make Indonesia's younger generation not only proud but also feel connected to Indonesian culture.

Tristan Bramanto and Najla Yudhanto, undergraduate students at the University of Melbourne, told SBS Indonesian that they felt fortunate to be involved in the Tembang Nusantara performance.

According to Tristan, as second- and third-generation diaspora members growing up in Melbourne, there's a push to assimilate into the majority culture. Therefore, events like the Tembang Nusantara Generation Concert can bring them closer to the Indonesian community and culture.
