One Sydney-based group of beginner writers has just published their first book, which they call as a work that "turns negative energy into glorious creativity".

One writing group consisting of "special women" has successfully published its first work.

'Writing for Healing', organised by a Sydney-based group IQRO Sisterhood, in mid-August published 'Wanita adalah Istimewa' or 'Women are Special'. Although not widely sold through bookstores, the group's mentor say that they have sold more than 300 books so far.

Tita Widya, a nurse and writer who now lives in Canberra, is a mentor to the group which started to put together ideas on December last year.

She says that the whole process was not easy, partly because the group consisted mostly of amateur writers who never writes for publication.

Tita says that 'Writing for Healing' is aimed at helping the healing process of women's hearts in the form of writing, channeling negative energy of pain into glorious creativity, and healing in productivity.
