Under a Labor government, Brunswick South Primary School will receive $50,000 for a new playground. This is the announcement made by Labor Party's Peter Khalil, member for Wills in the House of Representatives.
Brunswick South is the only Italian bilingual school in Melbourne.
"We welcome Labor's new attention to our public schools" told SBS Italian Greens candidate for the seat of Willis, Adam Pulford in a written statement.
"The Greens have a plan to increase school funding so that schools aren't left out on their own. The Greens' plan will increase funding to the Federal Capital Grants Program and allow public schools to access these grants. This would give public schools access to $320 million per year that they currently are excluded from. A new playground at Brunswick South Primary is exactly the kind of project that this fund would support".
Liberal candidate Peter Killin did not respond to a request for comment.
