Not much is needed to become more sustainable: the use of an alternative to the classic gift wrap could be an example, but you can also make a choice about the type of Christmas tree you want to buy.

"It takes up to twenty years to get rid of a plastic Christmas tree" explains environmental sustainability expert Valentina Petrone, so maybe it's worth thinking about it when shopping.

There are several ways to be creative for Christmas: start with decorations, which you can find in an Australian Opportunity Shop, where you can also find so called Pre-loved gifts.
