A book tell the story of Giuseppe Martinelli, an Italian who spent over 20 years working with the indigenous in Chiapas.


Originally from Naples, doctor Giuseppe Martinelli wrote the book 'Eternamente straniero' ('Forever foreigner') to recount his 20-year long activity in the Mexican forest with the local communities.

In this interview with SBS Italian he also talks about the impact of the COVID-19 on the Maya descendants living in the Lacandon jungle in Chiapas.
