Today we talk about the modern history of opera in Australia through the story of one of its protagonists, tenor Lamberto Furlan. Together with his wife Beryl Simpson, Furlan was among the first singers employed full-time in 1970 by the then "Australian Opera", whose general manager was Italian-Australian Claudio Alcorso.
