"If someone offers to take you to Italy, you go": Pia Miranda had little doubt, when she was invited to a journey of discovery into her Italian roots, as a guest in the second season of Shaun Micallef's Origin Odyssey.
With grandparents hailing from Palermo and the island of Vulcano, Miranda took the opportunity to find out more about herself and her past, spending a few days in Sicily, where her nonni grew up.
Proud of her Italian heritage, as shown in her iconic role in Looking For Alibrandi's, Miranda continues to "pass a lot of these traditions to my kids".
