Museo Italiano of Co.As.It., Melbourne, offers a seminar with textile conservator Marion Parker: "Understanding and Caring for Textile Artefacts: a Second Identity". The seminar is of relevance to everyone who is the inheritor or custodian of heritage objects: items would have been lovingly created for young womens dowry, and many would have travelled to Australia inside migrants cases, parcels and trunks. The event is public and will be held at Museo Italiano in Melbourne on Wednesday 10th August from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. We talked about it with event curator Lella Cariddi.
